Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz lean ground beef
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 1.5 cups cabbage chopped
  • 1/4 white onion diced
  • 1 cup low sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic minced
  • 2 leaves basil chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Start by cooking your ground beef and chopped onions in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Season with salt and pepper and cook meat most of the way through.
  • Next add your cabbage, tomatoes, garlic, more salt and pepper and basil.
  • Stir for several minutes then add beef broth. Cover with lid and bring to boil for 20 minutes.
  • Add enough broth so all of the contents in the pan are wet. After 20 minutes uncover and cook off any excess water. Let cool then enjoy!
